ABC Stores Supports Aloha Harvest with $5,000 Grant

Acknowledging Aloha Harvest’s continued service to those in need, ABC Stores has provided a $5,000 grant to support the organization’s program.

Ku’ulei Williams, Executive Director, welcomed the grant saying “your continued generous support of our mission enables us to reach out to more needy and homeless individuals and families in our community. Your partnership with Aloha Harvest is making a difference to over 48,260 individuals a month!”

Aloha Harvest - Helping Feed Hawaii's Hungry!

Since its inception in 1999 Aloha Harvest has delivered over 7 million pounds of food entirely ‘free of charge’ to agencies serving those in need in our community. Aloha Harvest has partnered with 148 agencies to help donate food to the hungry.

Aloha Harvest prides itself on making its program as green as possible. Whenever possible they recycle and to prevent waste food is picked up and delivered the very same day. Strict standards for food safety are applied throughout the entire process and Aloha Harvest is proud that it has never had any complaints about the safety of the food delivered.

In addition to the generous ABC grant, Aloha Harvest is funded by donations from special projects such as Food Drives organized by schools, businesses, organizations, and churches.
